Mr. Michael P. Pecoraro, 62 of Plymouth, MA and Greenville, ME, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 after a long illness. Mr. Pecoraro was a retired teacher, private pilot and lover of the north woods. Born and raised in Quincy, he received his undergraduate degree from Boston State College and his Masters degree from Bridgewater State College. He spent most of his professional career, 33 years, teaching American History at Silver Lake Junior High in Pembroke.
Michael, husband of Margaret (Fesser) Pecoraro and son of Julia (Luoni) Pecoraro of Hanover and the late Michael Pecoraro, is also survived by brother Edward Pecoraro and his wife Janice and their son Michael of Norwell, 1 sister, Michele Pecoraro and her sons Andrew and Alex Coffey of Kingston. He also leaves many wonderful cousins and his Minnesota, Colorado, Washington and Idaho family who loved him as their own. His family is very grateful for the exceptional quality of care and great kindness he received from the staffs of Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, the C.A. Dean Memorial Hospital in Greenville, ME and the Cancer Care of Maine.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17 at 9 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte. 139 in HANOVER. Interment will be private. Visitation and Brunch will follow in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jordan Hospital Cancer Center, 275 Sandwich St., Plymouth, MA 02360 OR to the C.A. Deal Memorial Hospital, 364 Pritham Ave., Greenville, ME 04441.
