Kathleen A. (Gillis) Herrera, 70 of Tewksbury formerly of Chelsea died Wednesday Jan 27, 2010 at Saints Medical Center in Lowell after a lengthily illness. Daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Clarke) Gillis, she was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada on July 19, 1939. Kathleen came to the US in 1995. She had been employed in Information Technology at Verizon.
Sister of Rita Guinta of Halifax and Judy Bassett of Chelsea, aunt of Michelle Guinta of FL, Denise Bassett of Chelsea and Brain Bassett of NH.
Funeral Mass on Friday at 11 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St., Rte 14 in Hanson. Interment in Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson. Visiting hours omitted. Arrangements by the Sullivan Funeral Home in HANSON.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spindle Fund, c/o Saints Medical Center One Hospital Dr., Lowell MA 01852.
