Mrs. Lillian C. (Wheldon) McLaughlin, 88 of Carver formerly of Hanson died Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Life Care Center in Plymouth. The daughter of the late John and Lucinda (Ladd) Wheldon, she was born in Boston on July 10, 1921. She was raised and educated in Roxbury and had live in Hanson for 42 years before moving to Carver 12 years ago. Mrs. McLaughlin was formerly employed in the Lab at the Polaroid Corporation retiring in 1980. She was an avid reader.
Wife of the late Joseph F. McLaughlin, she was the mother of Joseph F. McLaughlin Jr of FL, Stephen E. McLaughlin of NH, Daniel T. McLaughlin of Carver, Robert W. McLaughlin of Middleboro, Susan A. Collins of Kingston and the late Kathleen E. Sayce. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St, at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in HANSON on Wednesday from 5-8 PM . Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St, Rte 14 in Hanson. Interment in Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson.
