Mr. Vito Umbro, 84 of Kingston formerly of Hanover died Friday, February 5, 2010 at Coyne Health Care in Rockland after a brief illness. The son of the late Natale and Elizabeth (Canivale) Umbro, he was born in Polia Italy on October 24, 1925. Mr. Umbro had been employed as a Construction Forman at DelAssandro Construction and Boitti Construction. He loved gardening and making wine.
He is survived by his wife if 63 years, Maria (Sammarco) Umbro, father of Natale J. Umbro and his wife Karen of Abington, Elizabeth Naples and her husband John of Pembroke, Theresa Leonido and her husband Domenic of Hanover, Vito Umbro Jr of Kingston and the late Bruno Umbro. Brother of Natale Umbro of Waltham, Joseph Umbro of Revere, Bruno Umbro of CT and the late Isabelle Sorrenti. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St, Rte 53 in HANOVER on Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 9 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St, rte 139 in Hanover. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
